Use of edible crickets as a sustainable food resource to enhance livelihoods and curb food and nutrition insecurity in Kenya
Introduction
Research and trials on commercial farming techniques have been developed in Kenya. Our project will cascade the techniques to produce nutritious, affordable and sustainable nutrient rich meals to the low income earners. Households will be empowered to farm crickets using new techniques and cook meals enriched with crickets. The cooking techniques will be promoted among these households. Mothers will be empowered to cook delicious, nutritious meals for their households.
